Many people have been left injured while properties worth millions of Naira have been destroyed after a gas tanker exploded in the Iju-Ishaga area of Lagos state at about 3.30pm today September 24.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Director-General of Lagos State Emergency Management Authority LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, said efforts are being made to put out the resulting fire from the explosion.
This incident comes barely 24 hours after a petrol tanker exploded in Kogi state leaving 24 persons dead.
